Frequently Asked Questions

What is Pentecostal Worship?

It is Spirit filled and God-centered, not man-centered. In worship, we draw near to God in gratitude for what He has done for us in Christ and through the Holy Spirit. We still believe the Father desires true worshipers to worship Him in spirit and in truth, so you may see more instruments and hands raised. (Psalms 150:3-6)

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a distinct and separate experience for the believer in Christ. At the point of salvation, a person is born again and experiences the new birth regeneration by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God now lives in the heart of a believer.

To be Baptized in the Holy Spirit means to be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus’ intended purpose for the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is for service. John 20:22

Absolutely not. The only stipulation to make Heaven your home is to be born again and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through faith.

Water baptism is not a requirement for salvation. However, we do believe it is a commandment that should be done after salvation is received and it is an outward expression of an inward condition. It is a public profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal savior.

While speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance is not the only evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, we do believe it is usually the initial evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

At the heart of tithing is the notion that God owns everything. When God instituted a Tithe, He was saying the first 10% of our increase is His. When we Tithe, we are not giving 10% of the gross from our paycheck we earned, we are actually returning to Him what is already His. Exodus 19:5

Yes! We also don’t consider a Tithe ‘just’ an Old Testament Law of Moses practice either. Long before Moses wrote the first five books of the Old Testament, in Genesis chapter 14, Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek King of Salem and priest of the most high God.

In Matthew chapter 23 and Luke chapter 11, Jesus told the scribes and Pharisees to keep on tithing but get their hearts and intentions right.
